His parents address was 'Danfield' Camden. His occupation was Blacksmith and Coachbuilder when he enlisted at Camden and served in the 1st Brigade Australian Field Artillery. He left Sydney on the 'Pera' 26 September 1914 and arrived France via Egypt March 1916. Victor's brother Harold Gorman HANSEN (born 1895 Cobbity) served overseas from October 1914 to June 1918. His cousin Ernest Raldolph Cluett (b 1893 Trial Bay NSW) son of Frank Ernest Cluett and Ida Amelia Gursten was killed at Gallipoli on 7 August 1915. Staff Sargeant Victor Frederick HANSEN was killed in action in France on 11 April 1917 age 30. |
